Hammond houses are old, and that changes the work
The seven Hammond homes we have renovated were built between 1910 and 1959. That is typical for the city, and it means the same things keep turning up: subfloors that are out of level, siding that has been layered over rather than replaced, and original windows that were never meant to hold heat. Contractors who mostly work on newer builds price these jobs as if the surfaces are flat and square. They rarely are.

Flooring
Luxury vinyl plank, hardwood, laminate, tile and carpet. On older Hammond homes the subfloor usually needs attention first, and we handle that rather than laying new floor over a problem.
Siding
Vinyl siding and gutters built for Northwest Indiana winters. On houses this age we check what is underneath before quoting, because layered-over siding is common here.
Replacement windows
Measured, installed and sealed by our own crew, one window or the whole house. Original single-pane windows are still standard in a lot of Hammond housing stock.
